Machine 14R:
Resembling the devices featured in folios 8 R and 14V, this machine showcases two notable distinctions. The capstan, rather than being a square element fixed to a cylindrical metal bar, functions more akin to a nut on a bolt. This capstan incorporates an internal threading that facilitates the movement of the metal bars. Apart from the capstan difference, the connection mechanism also varies. Unlike those allowing rotational motion for column erection, the connection here serves the purpose of fully lifting the column from the ground without any rotation.
